Review on Logitech G300s Optical Gaming Mouse with 9 Programmable Buttons and Onboard Memory – Perfect for Ambidextrous Gamers by Dave Branch

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best mouse I've ever had and one of the cheapest!

Great mouse, especially for the price. The fact that it has a "compressed" body makes all the buttons comfortable to use. I had (well, still have) a much more expensive Logitech gaming mouse (g700s) and the mouse layout and button placement rendered almost all unusable. Thanks to the shortened design, you can easily and intuitively move your index and middle finger over each of the top buttons. Works very well with the G13 left hand gamepad. The automatic game detection settings work for both devices at the same time, and both devices share a common set of "features" for each game, so you can easily assign them to gamepad or mouse buttons and move them around as you see fit. The buttons are dedicated to specific functions like switching profiles or DPI (or even mouse clicks/scrolling) so you can get creative with how you tweak this thing. The actuation force of all buttons (and the scroll wheel) is extremely low. but it's also satisfyingly tactile, giving you the right amount of feedback without needing stressful distortion to muster enough force to press the keys. I wear a "large" glove (medium/small for men) and the button spacing and spacing is perfect for my hand geometry. In my opinion, this key configuration is optimal for both gaming and productivity. If you want it to be a regular mouse, all the extra features aren't needed, if you want to use the extra buttons, they're within reach and precise pressing isn't difficult. The best mouse I've ever had. and one of the cheapest!
