I bought these telescopes for my son who is very interested in star, moon and nature observing. The tripod is lightweight and very easy to set up. It has a knob for easy tension adjustment so you can easily move, rotate and lock it in place. It's amazing how far and clear you can see with this telescope, but what I love most is that you don't have to squint to see it. It comes with a smartphone adapter so my son can use his iPhone to look through the telescope on the iPhone screen. The best part is that he can photograph and even video anything with this telescope! It's the best next to a digital telescope, but you would actually lose quality if everything was digital, so it's actually the best setup! organize better. Perfect for my son who just started high school without breaking my wallet. Really a very good buy.
