Tried it out for the first time at a school concert where I sat at the back of the hall because I don't want to disturb others because I can play around with the device. With 60x optically it turned out very well. We even managed to bring some people closer. Music picked up, plays clearly with no problems. The battery that comes with the device lasts a maximum of about 1.5 hours. Not enough for most and you will have to buy a larger capacity battery. Additional storage is needed as 4GB is not enough - at least for me. The device is so small that it fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. Probably too small for big hands! When I watched movies recorded on my analog TV, it was much clearer than on older camcorders. The stills captured were just as good, apparently with no result, as with a still camera. No issues/problems with the conversion. The software that comes with the device makes it easy to manage the content recorded on tape on the hard disk. No frills, great basic camcorder that makes good movies without worrying about fiddling with controls, settings, etc.
