I bought this unit to replace my old 360 which broke after almost 8 years of heavy use. I have an Xbox One but I have a couple of 360 games that are still not backwards compatible. This system was a great replacement! It's a little smaller than my old 360. And much quieter! I bought this system and hard drive separately. This turned out to be $20 cheaper than if I had bought the system with the hard drive included. This Xbox is not compatible with the old gray hard drives used in previous systems. I knew that before I placed my order, I thought it was worth mentioning. I've noticed that a lot of people have complained about the 4GB that comes with this device. The item name and description clearly state that this device is 4GB. Installing and downloading my Xbox Live profile was pretty easy. I install games on my hard drive according to Microsoft's recommendations to avoid overheating. It took quite a while (I started on a new system, so that's to be expected). My only concern is that Microsoft has changed the power adapter plugs. I was hoping to use my old PSU as a backup. While it doesn't break the deal, it's pretty annoying. It's worth noting that this Xbox doesn't have an optical port. I don't know if the more expensive ones have it or if Microsoft just removed it from all new consoles. Personally I use HDMI Pass Thru on my home audio system, that might be the norm now. So far I am very happy with this new system. I recommend it as a worthy replacement. Just remember to buy a hard drive, 4GB is not enough to install games.
