We bought a "cheaper" unit on Amazon for my sons TRX300. no spark SO thought we had a brand new CDI, that couldn't be. I worked a few days to trace the wires with a digital multimeter. In the end I gave up and left for 4 months. Finally tired of looking at a broken TRX I bought this CDI. We installed it and it started on the first try! I think the other CDI was DOA from the start. FML! I may buy another one from this brand just to have a backup. By the way, this CID is slightly heavier than the other.
