First of all, this is not my first rodeo at the circuit. I have tried many products from before to hide cables in my desk and every year or two I decide to change something and use a different cable channel etc. I actually have a treadmill table desk in my office for a recent project added and mirrored my 3 screens which resulted in a lot of cables having to be hidden! I ended up buying a pack of white (for all the wall parts, which I painted to match, which was pretty easy and worked great) and a pack of black (for the bottom tables/shelves). I did the math and ended up running 38 separate cables all over the desktop system and managed to hide them all. They are available in segments of about 15 inches and different connectors. I ended up using all 9 of the 15" white tracks and about half of the black tracks. A few random considerations: - They don't hold cables as securely as some other cable ducts, partly because cable ducts can be opened from either end, while other cable ducts tend to be hinged and only close at one end. It took a while to get used to as cable channels hanging upside down often have gravity trying to push the cables out and in some places I had to overcome this by securely fastening the cables with screw ties to ensure that they were on the bottom I wouldn't press too hard or the lid would just fall off. This is one of the reasons I gave it 4 stars because I felt they could have stronger links to prevent them from falling out on their own. Cool! I've read some other complaints where people said the holes are too small, but if you look at the pictures you can see that the wider cables go through the bent tabs and I did in a couple of places, but the holes were fine. for most of the cables I've run. - The adhesive on the back is STRONG. Stronger than most other circuits. After doing some testing I was sturdy enough and decided to mount with screws and anchors instead of tape because I was concerned about what the wall would look like if I eventually took it down. Some people have complained that they can't fit enough cables. here, but I don't know what you expected. I found it reasonable for the size and larger than many other circuits. In one of the pictures where I showed the wiring, you can see three flat HDMI cables, a surge protector power cable, a treadmill-to-table cable, and a treadmill power cable, and I could probably route another cable or two, if it's there I just have to. In some places I had to run two channels because I had too many cables, but they can't magically reduce the size of the cable :). - I hated hookups. Especially for connecting two tracks. I'd really prefer something that snaps, but the way they connect makes them difficult to undo/redo without a lot of effort. I chose to ignore the connections and hook them up as close together as possible and I think it looks ok and probably better than using connectors. The connectors were the main reason I gave them 4 stars and not 5 stars. Overall I would definitely buy them again for a future project, but it would be nice if they could make some improvements as well.
