Let me first say that this is a really good attempt at bringing LED strips to the average consumer. The product is easy to work with and very easy to install, and the results (with a little care) look totally professional. It's not perfect but I'm more than happy with the purchase and my wife loves the result. So here's what I think of the set. The strips themselves are the best part of the set, very thin and well made. I really like the rigid PCB versus the flexible one I've worked with in the past. It is definitely more durable and easier to work with. The strips have attachment points for using screws, but the tape was more than enough. In fact, it's stronger than the board itself and quite difficult to move, so plan carefully before gluing it. The power connector is an odd choice and I would have preferred a smaller solution that really packs the cord. It was too easy to pull out the cable during installation and required additional planning and work. The lighting itself is great. It's described as a warm white that should be around 3000K, but it appears a little bluer and more like a halogen than a traditional incandescent bulb. I'd estimate it was around 3200K, but it was still a fairly warm light and worked well in our kitchen. The power supplies will also work if you power the entire set from a single source, as I did, but that's out of spec. Stock, and I'd rather have a stock that's designed to support the entire set for those of us who can complete the entire party in one run. I give them points for having two consumables that people can split across multiple runs. I didn't actually get the switches that were supposed to come with it, which wasn't a problem since I've made a run for being controlled by a standard light switch. I'd say they look incredibly cheap and I wouldn't use them anyway. The cable clamps are oversized considering the cable and appear to be repurposed flexstrip mounting clamps. As a result, the cable does not hold, which actually degrades the optics. Instead I just used a glue gun and the results were cleaner and much better looking. These clips also have duct tape and can be quite difficult (and messy) to move, so plan accordingly. I only used a few and saved the rest for another project. The real weak point of this kit is the cables and I can't help but agree with some of the other comments on this thread. If you choose a connector, you'll either have to live with the length and tie up the excess, or make a length adjustment. To complete the install, I did a little bit of both if necessary. The wire itself was very small and easy to hide, but due to the large solid plug, I had to drill much larger holes than I would have preferred. Switching to a different connector and providing a large roll that could be cut to length would make this an infinitely better solution. As for the cables, I was very disappointed that at least one junction block was not included in the kit. I bought a pair separately and it made connecting the cables a lot easier. I fully understand that this is a generic kit so the contents may not be optimal for a specific setup, but I felt it was overly versatile and some of the components are a bit cheap. I am still completely satisfied with the purchase, but there is still room for improvement.
