The fan evacuates the smoke very well. The problem is that it doesn't warm enough. I used several thermometers in different places on the grill and the maximum temperature I got was 303°. It was on the highest level and was on for almost 20 minutes. I tried cooking 1/2 inch thick boneless pork chops and gave up after 45 minutes.
