Very nice toy. If you empty it completely, then it will float perfectly on the surface without holding it. If you dip it, fill it with water and release it, it will float up and lie on its side instead of upright. My husband said it's ok as you don't want your child letting them in the pool and sinking them into deeper water where it's not easy to get them out. It would only be better if it floated to the surface and stayed upright. But, hey kids, don't streamline things like that, so since it's a fun factor, it's worth keeping. Overall I like it for our 3 year old grandson in the tub and pool. Well made, durable, easy to use, bright.
