Review on Dorman 38531 Tailgate Cable by Carlos Massey

Cable fits well. A good product. I've noticed comments from other reviewers about the cable trying to slip into the gap on the taillight housing and preventing the tailgate from closing. The instructions on the box to bend the cable into a "U" shape solved the problem. Also, I noticed that the package instructions say the large metal washer should be installed last. My original 2000 Tacoma hardware was installed last with a small nylon washer which kept the metal washer AND the cable on the screw - admittedly a minor issue, I would definitely buy again.
