Review on πŸ’― Retainer Brite Tablets – Cleaner for Dental Appliances and Retainers (96 Count) by Jason Lewis

The new box (so far) looks nothing like the old product

UPDATE: June 2019 My My other favorite brand, M3, also changed their formula so I decided to try Retainer Brite again. The new retainer brite pills are so bad I feel like they are fake. They smell of gasoline, don't hiss and don't clean anything. The water turns blue quickly and smells very bad. The box is purple again and the pills are marked Retainer Brite on the inner box but this is nothing more than a 'new' formula which I have given 1 star and is a far cry from the original RB of several. many years ago. This formula is rancid and I don't want to use it on anything I put in my mouth. Stay away. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've been using the old model (purple box) with my Invisalign for several months. These pills sometimes crumbled when I opened the pack and the trays still needed an occasional cleaning, but I was happy to know that I was sanitizing them with no aftertaste. The last box I received is called the "New Style Box" and is mostly white. These pills still crumble but smell slightly different than the old pills (despite the fact that they claim nothing has changed). They leave an aftertaste on my trays, albeit a subtle one. The old tablets used to foam in my cleaning machine, but these new ones don't - they just turn the water dark blue (much bluer than the old box). I find it hard to believe that they only changed the design of the box and not the product. Also, my trays are almost never washed. I only have one month left with Invisalign so I'm still using this box but I'm confused.

Pros
  • The pack contains 96 individually wrapped tablets (3 months) to keep your devices clean, bright, fresh and debris free
Cons
  • I'll write later
