Screw-in printer in Printers & Accessories

I replaced the magenta cartridge which is used up. It is reported as empty even though it was brand new! Edited to add - it's been about a month since I've attempted to use the cartridge and the magenta line gives an error code that can't seem to be erased. I'll try calling Sawgrass on Monday but am not optimistic as many forums have said these errors mean they have to shut down the printer and invest in a new one.
