The handles are a bit flexible.

I only rated these scissors 4 stars because although this hasn't happened to me before the handles are a bit malleable and if you cut the thickness the handles can break. Like I said, this hasn't happened to me yet, but I've only recently bought them and haven't used them exclusively. However, they are excellent for cutting single thicknesses. The serrated blades grip the tissue and the cut is very precise. For casual use, they are convenient and easy to use.
