Now. if you FULLY expand it. resulting in a *huge* wide scarf (big enough to envelop your head and neck and slip into a jacket, which I sometimes do and pair with a beanie or motorcycle helmet) - it's a bit flimsy, which makes it vulnerable pull and hook. However, I did it a little once. So cheap - maybe ten or twenty years ago it would have been thicker and maybe wouldn't have stuck as much then. But I've had tons of compliments on this one, and nothing about the weave or design suggests it's cheap. In fact, I've been practicing this "fashionable" scarf. If I was just wearing it to the office or for a night out, I doubt I'd have any problems at all. Anyway, it's still mostly tissue damage that only I could see. He still has plenty of clothes for this winter and next. All in all, this is without a doubt the nicest, softest, WARMEST, most versatile (given its size) and trendiest scarf I've ever owned. Warm like wool but not at all itchy, smooth and soft like a baby's bottom. It's long enough to do ANYTHING with it - I mostly wear it twice as wide (sometimes even doubled) and then fold it in half lengthwise - wisely, wrap it around your neck and pull the tassel ends through the loop. This method creates a lot of lint around my neck and the scarf is long enough to have enough ends to tuck securely into my coat. This also makes the scarf the least prone to accidents. But as I said, I could also wear this scarf as a classic grandma with a lack of space and was grateful that I have it. In many ways, its ability to spread very thinly is beneficial. It's still warm, but you can easily tuck it under a hat or just keep your hair from getting out of shape with a light touch. If you're tired of scarves that are too short (I've bought SO many) and want the same gorgeous, warm, versatile, soft and pretty scarf, get this scarf. I basically beat mine to death last winter as I wore them every day, for all purposes indoors and out, but I think they will last at least another season and I am buying another one in brown for fun. Besides being good looking, he's just the best.
