I replaced all filters and membranes on my RO-45 in September 2019. Earlier this month my reverse osmosis system stopped producing water (the reverse osmosis tank is empty). My appliance is 10 years old and I've never had a problem (most likely because my water softener reduces water hardness). This reminded me to change the filters and I placed my order. After I discussed my problem of no water production with APEC, they indicated that the problem could be low water pressure, clogged filters, a check valve, or an ASO valve. I removed all filters and ran the unit without them and the unit started producing water again. After inspecting the filters, I found that I could test them by covering one end with my hand and blowing into the filters. The sediment and a charcoal filter tested well, however I found that a charcoal block filter was clogged. There are several reviews here where this happened to other users sooner than a year later. If this happens again I will switch to another brand.
