My Husqvarna 128LD trimmer was having trouble starting. It starts and then goes off and after a minute it goes off. I have replaced the carburetor, coil, filter, hoses and cleaned the exhaust screen to no avail. The trimmer will still choke and die. Then I realized I had replaced the spark plug with a cheap Lo-Depot spark plug (the packaging said it matched the RCJ8Y). I read on the Husqvarna forums that their gear is very picky when it comes to spark plugs, so I bought the one recommended in the manual, which is the Champion RCJ8Y. The trimmer now works like a top! If you are having trouble with your Husqvarna, replace your fork with a recommended Champion make/model before doing anything else. I ended up putting all the old components back into my trimmer and it works great. NOTE. The Champion CJ8Y fork does NOT replace the RCJ8Y. I tried it and it didn't work (the local store didn't have an RCJ8Y so I bought CJ8Y). You MUST use the RCJ8Y if the manual requires it.
