Review on 🦆 Platypus Ultralight Collapsible SoftBottle: Convenient Push-Pull Cap for Easy Hydration by Tricia Anderson

I ordered two of these after using (and LOVE) the Platypus PlusBottle on a recent hike. Due to the product name "SoftBottle" I assumed that these bottles are made of the same material as my current PlusBottle. Unfortunately it isn't. This SoftBottle plastic is quite hard and dare I say brittle, while my Platypus PlusBottle feels almost rubbery and very flexible. The rigidity makes the bottle's flat/melted edges a bit awkward to hold, especially in one hand. Not sharp, of course, but almost. I can imagine fairly easily this bottle developing a hole or tear along a permanent crease with prolonged use as mentioned in some reviews, but I think the overall quality and convenience are worth it, especially at this price point. I just wanted some bubble shaped bottles to keep handy in my purse and beach bag and I really think these SoftBottles would be great for that purpose. But if I wanted a similar bottle for outdoor or more intensive use, I would heartily recommend the PlusBottle instead. I would like to mention that my first soft bottle that arrived (the second comes separately) was completely missing the lid. Revain will send a replacement bottle for free which is great customer service! Thank you Rewin!
