I have three cats. One of them is huge. For example, a 14-pound cat, and that's not counting his massive amount of fluff. I'm pretty sure it's a Norwegian Forest cat, but that's for another day... Anyway, he's so fluffy that he has a hard time grooming himself in places (he has a huge mane around his neck and the hair on his chest gets stuck at the back of his neck). mouth when he tries to court) meaning he still has some mats left mostly on his lower chest and shoulders/behind his front legs and sometimes on his back (he sleeps stretched out on his back all the time) and they wouldn't be a problem , if he didn't hate being brushed 95% of the time. It got to the point where I had to order a pet grooming hammock so she wouldn't squirm and fight me and ordered this spray. Well it works. It actually works pretty well. But good luck spraying your cat at least once before it runs away (i.e. saves its life). It smells pretty good and it really helps break up tangles and make them a little easier to remove. It stays on as a spray/liquid, but turns into a more lotion-like substance on the coat where it absorbs quickly and eventually dries out. But yes, spraying a cat is still problematic (unless they don't mind being sprayed...). However, it is good value for money, and despite the fact that the cat causes problems, it is otherwise easy to use.
