My previous ice cream spoon broke at the neck. So I spent some time searching the internet for something new. by "sometime" I meant an hour. Obviously I didn't want to explore the ice ball for an hour. But that's what I ended up doing. I was surprised by this Midnight Scoop when I clicked on the product page. It was like nothing else. It looked exquisite and I liked it because of the one-piece design. I thought it would be easy to clean. But the price made me think three times before I bought it. Received it today and have used it with great fanfare to scoop scoops of ice cream. That's really all the people here have said. It feels solid in my hand but not too heavy. The grip is very comfortable. Notches for the fingers made the grip more durable. This shovel seems indestructible. I thought the pen would cool down very quickly, but nothing like that happened. The shovel is simply luxurious. 3x the average price of a random bullet, it would be better if it was. And it works better than any ice cream scoop I've ever used. Update: Some reviews state that this scoop doesn't work with small containers or the first layers of ice from a freshness box. Some even say that this shovel can't handle the corners of rectangular boxes. I don't understand where these comments are coming from. The shovel is clearly designed to handle corners and it really works. I've uploaded a short video of this tool on a small square ice bucket to show it working well. It's really ergonomic.
