Stylist's Opinion: Grinding the motor and switches makes the dryer cheap.

As a stylist I have used many hair dryers for over 30 years. The first thing that struck me when I opened up this hair dryer was that the case looks and feels very good and feels like a decent quality hair dryer. But then I see they put the cheapest switches on so they take away all the aesthetic appeal and make the whole dryer cheap. They're also unlabeled, so it's hard to tell which is the on/off button and which is the heat setting button. When testing the hair dryer, it makes a loud grinding noise, as if the fan is struggling or actually rubbing. against something inside. Even the hair dryer vibrates from grinding. I've never experienced anything like this with any other hair dryer. All of the heat settings are well-matched from cold to hot, with one distinct difference between the three. The cold shot button works quickly to blow out pretty cold air. Contains three attachments: diffuser, smoothing comb and concentrator. The last two fit well but the diffuser seems to match another hair dryer and doesn't fit well. The exhaust blows very hard, even too hard, even on the lowest setting. It would be very difficult to use a styling brush to blow dry your hair when it's blowing so hard. Overall, this hair dryer would be a pretty decent hair dryer if it weren't for the loud crunch, vibration, and cheap-looking switches. mine is loud This is not the silent one shown in the listing. Judging by the sound, I'm not sure it will last very long. If you're looking for a new hair dryer, I'll probably go with a reputable brand. There are great products out there for the same price or less that work much better and will definitely last a long time.
