works exactly as it should

by far the cheapest and most satisfactory solution to avoid burning your index finger while crocheting! I've tried a few metal rings that just didn't work - they let me maintain tension, the surface is wide enough to protect my fingers, and I can use multiple strands. And super cheap! Since I have a multipack I can keep them for different projects and crochet kits I use.
