Review on 🐠 EHEIM Skim 350 Aquatic Filter by Valerie Jones

I have known about this product for some time as several of my friends have it in their aquariums. Removing the surface skim is really important and the skim is doing a good job so this week I decided to get one myself. As you can see from the attached video, the motor runs but the impeller does not turn properly. So I ordered a replacement which arrived the next day. To my great displeasure, the new one was also defective! A friend's inspection of the work tool revealed that the blue impeller and magnetic cylinder needed to be connected, causing the impeller to rotate incorrectly and the power head to malfunction. doesn't do his job. It looks like there should have been some kind of glue between the two pieces, but something went wrong in the manufacturing process. Fortunately, the problem is easily solved with the help of super glue. If yours is bad put some glue on the rod and the underside of the top of the blue part and you should be fine. I coordinated my end with Revain and let them know they had a bad batch. I will also contact Eheim. In the meantime, be prepared to buy it elsewhere or find your own bottle of superglue. Edit: I found from reading other reviews that this is a recurring problem going back at least two years. Wow. Excellent quality control, Eheim.
