We returned the first one when we found one of the four ports was defective. I am an engineer; I understand that sometimes there are shortcomings. never mind We returned it. Revane sent us another one. It was very easy. The replacement is coming. We are okay. Our 2 TB hard drive fails up to 6 months later. At first I thought I was unlucky and didn't realize that this hub had caused the crash. Then I plugged the camera into the same port that the broken hard drive was plugged into and it started shutting down. So this replacement ends up with exactly the same problem; one of the ports starts losing power. By the way, it destroys any drive without its own power supply (hard disk, flash drive, card reader, etc.). Several hundred pictures, business documents and data were lost between backups. Don't buy this if you want to attach something useless to it!
