I got two. My wife has the same type she got about twenty years ago. The wires are stretched and it seems like it's always in the dishwasher. Apart from that it works fine. My mom has one the same age and condition but she doesn't have a dishwasher. I got tired of constantly cleaning the cheese cutter (because nobody else could take care of it), so I decided to buy more. There are plenty of these at Revain so I looked for two packs. The second time I used one of them it broke in half. I didn't want to complain because I was different. So far. Another happily sliced cheese took less than eleven months to make and then it broke too. I've used it on regular medium sized cheddar without much resistance when it broke. Too bad because I like this style. Now I'll have to look for another one, but I'll look elsewhere on the internet and at thrift stores for an older version. If they break after a few uses or less than a year, that's fine because they've been used a lot. Normally, the quality of the products should improve over time.
