Very accurate gram scale with an accuracy of approx. 0.1% Β± 0.03 grams

I am very impressed with the accuracy and correctness of this scale. It measures objects weighing up to 502.00 grams (just over the specified limit) in 0.01 gram intervals with an accuracy of about 0.1% Β± 0.03 grams. For everyday use, like that Measuring the mass of small objects, it perfectly copes with the task. I use it to measure the bulk of the leaf tea I use in making tea - I've found myself using way more tea leaves than I should have. (Now my tea tastes so much better!) It's also great if you're trying to measure portions of food, as very few people really know what x grams of food looks like. Units of measurement include grams, ounces, troy ounces, tare (whatever it is), carats, and grains (a unit of measurement). The scale also has a counting function - if you're trying to count a large number of small *unitary* items (like dimes, pills, etc.) you can put 25, 50, 75 or 100 of them in. that item on the scale, install it, and then add more of that item to the scale; Depending on the calculated mass of the object, the scale tells you how many such objects are on this scale. I can confirm that this feature absolutely works - in my experience it took about 2 minutes for the scale to count 239 tablets, which was checked and verified by manual counting, which took 17 minutes. The scale also includes a tare function (a standard primitive) if you need to set the mass to 0 to account for objects on the scale that you don't really want to measure. Finally the scale comes pre-calibrated but just in case you should order this scale with a set of calibration weights just in case - for normal use I recommend the included 8 piece HFS scale set with case 500g, 200g weights, 100g ( x2), 50g, 20g (x2) and 10g. UPDATE: After calibrating the scale with the HFS calibration weights above, the scale works fine - I was able to eliminate the 0.1% error. However, due to the sensitivity of the scale, an error of Β±0.03 grams remains (but that's really only a problem with objects of greater mass). Also, for best results, make sure the objects to be measured are in the center of the scale.
