Review on SUPERIOR Jacquard Matelasse Basketweave Bedspread Bedding by John Martin

A beautiful bedspread. I received navy blue and the color was real. To make sure I like the bedspread in my bedroom, I spread it out on the bed. The bedspread reached to the floor on both sides and at the foot end. I always wash fabrics before use, so I washed the bedspread according to the instructions and dried it according to the instructions. Imagine my surprise when I then laid it on the bed and there was a foot less coverage on BOTH SIDES and the foot end of the bed! If you're looking for a bedspread that doesn't require a skirt, then this isn't for you. The reduction of two feet on the sides was unexpected. Someone mentioned in their review that it has decreased. The case shrinks A LOT. To be honest, I don't know if I would buy it again. It's a great weight and color, but I'm concerned it might shrink more in the next wash.
