Review on NIBCO 4895 Pipe Fitting Trap for Effective SEO by Todd Phillips

Apparently no longer commercially available. The house was built in 2000. So I ordered this trap and I'm having trouble with it leaking no matter how hard I try to line it up with another PVC. If you look closely, the edges of the docking appear as flat spots. I'm assuming this is the source of the problem, although I've noticed it with other PVC fittings. So I took some teflon tape (not white) that was thicker and flattened the top of the joint and then put it back together. So far so good, no leaks, a bit frustrating installing a new piece of PVC for the first time. I saw a video about this leak and the importance of making it your first connection, but it didn't work for me.
