This is the latest review of the DBPOWER 9000L HD Native 1080P Projector. If you're looking for technical information on each feature and pixel, look elsewhere. I use the projector to watch movies in a darkened room and by the pool. I can't say anything about the gameplay. The projector is lightweight and frankly doesn't look particularly impressive, but looks can be deceiving. When I turned on the device, the first thing I noticed was how quiet it was. Don't get me wrong, that's fan noise, but having had a projector before, that's to be expected. The next thing you notice is how little heat it generates compared to my old projector. I also appreciate the backlit buttons on top which are great in the dark. I stuck my trusty fire stick into the projector and within seconds I had an image and as expected the quality in my daylit room was mediocre at best. I closed the curtains and the picture quality improved a lot. Later that evening the image was stunning in a dimly lit room projected onto a 120 inch screen. Sci-Fi night has never been so much fun. Imagine your favorite movie playing on a 10 foot wide screen. The sound quality of the projector is ok. Whatever it is, if you hook it up to a good sound system, wow, I'll never go to the theater and pay $10 for popcorn again. It's finally movie night. I mounted the projector on a tripod and took it outside. There is a windowless wall in my house that is about 15 feet long. The picture was incredible, the sound from the projector was actually loud enough to be heard, but it was tinny and a little dead, for those of you who remember the movie ride, remember the sound from the speaker too , which you hung on the window. This was easily fixed by plugging it into a soundbar. The movie night was a great success. Don't get me wrong, this projector isn't perfect, but for the price, it's an easy fix. overlook.
