This shampoo and conditioner smells like the beach, but the thick film it leaves on our hair makes it look like it's never been washed. After using the shampoo, I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed until I felt my hair was clean enough, but it was still so oily that I didn't even use a conditioner. I have wavy Caucasian hair and while I like my hair regimen to be moisturizing rather than stripping, it was WAY too oily and heavy. I checked my hair type on their website against their suggestions and ordered this for myself and my teenage daughter with loose curly hair. I would like to give it 5 stars because the ingredients are much safer than most other shampoos, but I can't because I don't think it is suitable for typically Caucasian hair. People with dry locks might love it and it's probably great for those who want a REALLY HEAVY hydrating shampoo and conditioner, but it was so thick my daughter's hair looked about 3 shades darker until she used Acure again wash (which we did). use in recent years).
