I really, really like this wide comb. I got it because I read online that it's best for your hair if you comb it out with a wide comb after you shower. I start at the bottom and work my way up through my hair and this brush is very relaxing to use. I definitely feel "cleaner" afterwards as the hairs left on the brush are dead strands along with what may not belong (e.g. stubborn lint). I clean my comb after every use. I haven't tried it with a straightener or curling iron, so I can't rate its heat resistance. While it can flex back and forth a bit if you want it (it's actually quite durable), I don't really think that's a factor in why I got/loved it, so I won't its "elasticity". evaluate. . " either.
