I put it on my shirt and walked about a half mile to my office. One fell out unnoticed during my walk. Then I had to remove the other one or I would look crooked. They are too smooth for some fabrics (viscose, polyester, silk). If they were longer and maybe taped their ends together then they might be suitable for a medium weight fabric.
