Review on πŸ”’ LockNLube Fittings: Unbeatable, Best Selling, Long Lasting & Rebuildable Solution by Vince Dickey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the best tools in my box and it's just a grease tip.

Despite the overwhelmingly positive reviews I was initially skeptical but was quickly convinced that this is the best accessory for any grease gun. I am a trained car mechanic and fill in a lot of lubricant in my daily work. Since adding this coupler to my grease gun (Lincoln 1162, they match perfectly) I have never seen a leak around the grease fittings. I've used this on some dirty, chewed up, baked on fittings and it still manages to grip firmly and seal great. As I said, the only problem I had was clogged faucets. My Lincoln 1162 pumps at 6,000psi, which blows out almost any debris that might clog a faucet, but every once in a while I find one that's so bad I can't pump through it. When that happens I'm in a pickle. Even at 6,000 psi, the Lock'n'Lube jaws won't open. The problem is that if I come across a clogged fitting and it won't clear, the LnL will get stuck in the fitting like a pit bull and it usually takes channel locking pliers to squeeze the release lever to disengage the clutch. It's a bit larger than a standard plug and doesn't fit every angle, but I still find it useful in these situations as it holds my adapters and custom grommets perfectly in place so I can focus on keeping the adapter on Mounted on the adapter instead of on the coupling receptacle. Despite these few drawbacks, I like it better than the regular clutch in every way and would recommend it to anyone.
