Although the plastic body was very similar to the original, there were a few differences worth noting. The contacts between the battery and the circuit board are incorrect and do not work. There is no water resistance here either, since the battery cover and the button on half of the housing are filled with silicone, just like the original. The screws holding the console together are Phillips and hard to reach. The originals are Torx shaped, a T7 and two T6 are easily removed with a set of precision screwdrivers. Also, there is no Audi badge on the back. I had to remove one from the original and stick on a replacement. Other than that, I'm happy with my purchase. I stress that there is an empty key and no internals, not even a security system identifier.
