First of all the belt is nice. If only it had a loop! The belt can only be worn with trousers/skirts that have belt loops, otherwise the end of the belt will stick out at an angle of about 45 degrees. This is because part of the buckle is too hinged; It serves no purpose other than sticking out the end of the belt! The faux leather looks real (both sides) and the buckle is nice. Qualitatively done if not for a mistake. A belt loop would have solved the problem, but unfortunately it is not included. I wear size 4-6 (jeans size 27-28) I ordered a medium strap; It's too loose around my waist but looks simple enough to make it look smaller. If in doubt, take one size larger.
