Review on Gislaved Soft Frost 200 205/55 R16 94T Winter by Franciszka Piasecka ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I definitely recommend buying, I didn't notice any disadvantages.

Good tire for your money! I traveled one last season in Hong Kong and the region, on Octavia, 205/55/16, tires made in Slovenia in this size. Before that, there were Dunlop Winter Maxx and Tigar Winter. It’s not worth comparing with the Tigar, it’s still a purely urban tire, for asphalt, dry and wet (outside the city on ice it’s just scary). But with Dunlop it is quite possible to compare. And Gislaved is never worse, although it is the budget line of the Continental. Rowing in the snow is not worse, although the tread looks less "developed", it was not necessary to get stuck in snowdrifts. Porridge also takes away perfectly, VERY quiet. The only negative that I noticed was that they were tortured to pick out stones from the tread before balancing this season, but this is a problem for installers))) It slows down on ice and rides pretty well (for a non-studded tire). On wet ice, of course, you need to be more careful, but this is true for all non-studded tires, this is their main drawback. By the way, it’s very predictable and understandable in terms of handling, it’s quite difficult to break into a skid, only with a handbrake, and then it stabilizes almost immediately (I sometimes like to turn off all the assistance systems in the car and fool around on an empty site before work after a snowfall until the tractor is cleaned) I won’t say anything about wear, I don’t drive very much in winter. I don’t regret my choice, and even in this budget there are only a couple of decent tires out of decent tires, and the more eminent Michelin, Conti, Pirelli are significantly more expensive (but I doubt that it’s really much better)

Pros
  • Snow, porridge - her element.
Cons
