"I think what we have here is a failure to communicate." at least about what constitutes a size 13 in the US. I've been wanting a good pair of house slippers for several years--just something to take the stress off my feet for a few hours at the end of the day--and, apparently, I'm not alone: I am reliably informed that with the "work-from-home" phenomenon during the pandemic, a number of footwear manufacturers have introduced their own dedicated lines of house slipper, so there's a lot more choice than there used to be, and finding a good pair isn't the crap-shoot it once was. These looked like they might do the trick. and I suppose they would have if the fit had been better, and if the backs of the slippers were high enough to cover (and warm) the wearer's heels. As it is, what I got was a pair of fluffy flip-flops that were well-made, warm and soft, but way too tight in the toe box, and not very practical for walking around in. If you want to stay warm in them you've got to wear socks--which, for some, defeats the whole purpose of the slipper--and the way the backs are designed is simply uncomfortable regardless of size. The heavy-duty soles do look impressively sturdy; the fake fur lining is plenty plush, and I think, under different circumstances, I might actually have been pleased. And so, the search continues.
