These tips are larger than the tubes they are designed to fit. I was going to use a hose clamp to try and match the threads to the pipes, but upon closer inspection it turned out that the base of the pipe hit the shoulder of the pipe BEFORE it was unthreaded. So grinding about 1/8 inch from the base will allow the threads to engage better until the top of the tube touches the bottom of the threads in this ferrule like it should. Quickly with a belt sander. Surely no one in the factory used these prior to sale. If they come when the base touches the shoulder of the tube only a tiny single thread will snag and at best the glue will flow out alongside the threads or at worst that point will come loose and make a big mess while you're trying to to use it.
