Update April 15, 2018 - Downgraded to 1 star. It looks like this camera's operating system hasn't kept up with the apps. OneDrive has stopped working, so my photos are no longer automatically backed up. I expect this trend to continue as apps continue to be updated. This greatly reduces the value of this camera - it is only a few years old and already obsolete. ------ I'm torn between giving this camera three or four stars. What I like about it is the 21x analog zoom. . Actually, that was the main reason I bought it. Phone cameras work pretty well, but the analog zoom lets you take a lot of pictures that a phone camera just can't do. It also has a full Android operating system and a bunch of great camera apps. The Photos app has 35mm type settings, giving you a lot of flexibility when taking photos. And with a very large screen, it's fun to work with. The biggest downside is the quality of the lenses. For all the money you're paying for this device, and given that it's used almost entirely as a camera, you'd think Samsung would put a quality lens on it. Most of the shots I took were pretty good, but some of the sun shots had quality issues that I didn't see with my Nokia phone's camera. Finally, if I had a digital camera with great camera specs (including a better lens), 21x zoom, but no operating system other than transferring photos to other devices (via wifi or card), I would buy it for about the same price as this instead of this camera. I haven't researched if such a camera exists, but if I find one I'll post an update to this review with that information.
