So if you look at this, you know that this mountaineering-inspired slim wallet is a 'famous brand' advertised on the internet. I'll die screaming in my dress before spending over $75 on two aluminum credit cards and six inches of rubber band. So this budget option seemed like a good choice to me. Two simple DIY modifications are required to allow your cards to slide in and out easily. First, unscrew the aluminum plates from the mounting pads, paying attention to the sides that will touch your cards (a matching Torx screwdriver is included). Then cut off a piece of kitchen paper. Spray the detached holding surfaces with spray adhesive and press onto parchment paper. Cut off excess paper with a carpet knife so that there is no excess. Put it back together so the sides of the parchment paper are touching your cards. The parchment paper is impregnated with silicone and reduces any friction. The second do-it-yourself solution is to simply use a file to cut off the long edge where you insert the cards. This greatly simplifies insertion. With these two fixes, you should have no complaints and the performance lives up to the brand name. Other than that, the charming Chinglish "New-Bring" name is minimal. It took me a while to transition from my leather wallet to a more minimalistic setup. But I don't think I'll be back. Combine your card details, Marie Kondo your receipts and enjoy the freedom of carrying discreetly in your front pocket.
