Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Enhanced PlayStation VR Bundle with Mega Blood + Truth and Everybodys Golf by Mark Morrow

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Affordable VR headset is suitable for most users.

. He fills this niche perfectly. Going from no VR experience or anything like Google Cardboard to this is amazing, but if you're going from the HTC Vive or similar high-end headsets, you'll have to make compromises. You get less screen door effect, but it's a lower resolution rendering and the graininess is more noticeable. I would recommend it as a virtual reality experience but am also excited for a future product with improved resolution and clarity. The motion controllers work, but are prone to failure and look very outdated compared to other Playstation 4 hardware and headsets. They generally work pretty well, but I've found that reliability depends on lighting and camera placement. As for the games included in this bundle, I would recommend a different bundle. The Blood + Truth sequel required multiple reboots due to groundbreaking bugs, which really doesn't help the immersion. I only played for about an hour, but spent most of my time closing the app and repeating things to continue. Maybe with a few bug fixes it would be fun, but with update 1.03 it's too buggy to actually play. Golf for everyone is fine and relatively playable, but I think this is hampered by the limited accuracy of a decades-old motion controller design. Calibration gets done a lot or things look distorted and footage becomes disorienting. If you like golf you probably will, but as a non-golfer I enjoyed a few courses and didn't want to go back.

Pros
  • . Great overall performance.
Cons
  • . Doubtful.
