Review on Duck River Textile Quincy Curtain by Paul Milonas

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Attractive but not dark at all.

These curtains are very pretty but I wouldn't call them blackout. They reduce the light somewhat, but it shines through fairly directly. I have sheer black curtains with opaque silver stars underneath, and not only does the light still come through the window, you can clearly see the outlines of the stars through these curtains. However, they do offer some isolation and noise reduction. I also don't have to worry about people seeing me through them because there's a thick silver lining on the side of the window that doesn't let anything get in. That's pretty weird; If I put my hand on the silver side, I can see it through the curtain from my room, but if I put my hand on the inside, you can't even see it through the silver side. TL; DR If you want a true blackout curtain or even room blackout, drop them. This will disappoint you. If you like aesthetics and just want privacy, this is a good choice.

Pros
  • Has easily sliding top grommets for a sleek look and slides easily
Cons
  • Very expensive
