I consider myself a mechanic out of necessity. I regularly change my oil, change my brakes, and do other general maintenance. I was able to install it in an hour. Make sure you have a utility knife handy when removing your old shifter assembly. As for the performance of the product, my wife and I love it. The car was (unfortunately) never tracked and this kit improved the driving experience even as a daily driver. The angle in the shifter is the same as the outgoing node, but reversed towards the driver. Once installed, the shifter is significantly more ergonomic and comfortable for the driver. New layers appear clean and crisp. Especially the change from 1st to 2nd place has been improved. Recommended for anyone thinking about it. The only downside is the presence of a green tab that hooks the cables after installing a new kit. I took it out. It was wrong but I didn't notice any nasty side effects. Just make sure you check all the gears after installation and check for gaps before reassembling the center console.
