I bought these beautifully tailored nylon "jogging pants" for 6 weeks when I was on holiday in many cities in Europe. They can be washed, they don't weigh anything, they dry quickly. They don't need to be ironed. and fit very well and not baggy. Put on a nice t-shirt and you can go for a day of walking. I wear size XL (US 16) and they fit perfectly, even look slim! They might even work well in the rain as I expect them to get wet, but I don't expect them to be waterproof or waterproof, they just dry quickly.
