I burst out laughing when I took it out of the box. Looks like a cheese grater, but it's for the feet. It is made of stainless steel and is probably the most beautiful file on the market. It comes with a small soft brush for cleaning the file and both fit into the plastic case they come in. I have hard skin on my feet. My heels are often covered with painful cracks and calluses appear on my feet and sides. I usually use an Emory board but it just won't cut it and creates so much dust. I stumbled across this and decided to give it a try before doing another leg scrub (Revain is $15 each and usually only lasts a couple of weeks). After a good laugh I decided to check it out. Start with light pressure to get a feel for the instrument! Don't press too hard and watch the dead skin peel off (so nasty). I was done in just a few minutes and my legs felt better than ever. I am excited about this tool and absolutely thrilled. Then I applied foot ointment and put on socks so that the fresh skin could absorb some moisture. For the price, this product is 100% worth it! Skip the foot shells and emory boards.
