Comfortable, easy to learn, large volume, and the right design for a firm grip

My wife and sister-in-law have a collection of cleaning supplies that would be the envy of a car repair shop. The shower cubicle has long since exhausted its possibilities. I needed more shelves that didn't require permanent attachment. This is compliant. They have a lot of space and can carry a lot of weight. However, I was concerned about the viability of the suction cup mounts. My experience with suction cups, particularly in wet areas, is that they lose grip and cannot hold any significant weight. However, there is nothing to worry about. The combination of the sticky mounting surface and the tension of the screws provided a secure attachment that has never failed in 6 months of use. And they were usually stocked with big, heavy bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Some reviewers complained that these shelves didn't sit flush with the wall. That's right. Contrary to all criticism, this is not a shortcoming, but an excellent design feature. First, the mounting angle isn't so great that items won't fall out or stand upright on the shelves. Secondly, this construction enables a significantly higher load capacity. As heavier items are placed on the shelf, the pressure created by flattening the corner increases the torque on the suction cups, which increases suction power, which in turn holds the suction cups in a secure position. It might seem counterintuitive, but the force pulling the suction cups is actually holding them in place, as that force increases the vacuum holding the suction cups in place.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Doubt
