Pros: Lots of space in the drawers to keep things organized and the shelves are really good for instructions for fine craft projects as well as storing pattern books. Cons: Shallow bookshelves limit the number of books you can store. We don't have children, but this shelf made an excellent addition to our workshop, helping us organize and improve the overall cleanliness of our art. While shelf space is limited by relatively thin books, this was a great place for us to keep project journals and other thin craft books. Drawers at the bottom are great for storing thread, scissors, rulers, glue, etc. in organized groupings. Assembly was fairly easy, although some of the plastic parts are a little fiddly. All in all, I'm very glad we got one.
