As advertised! I checked the bar with a tape measure, the marks from end to end are dead nuts. The stem has an additional (spare) "locking knob" that locks the sections in the extended position and a "bull's eye" plane that snaps in at the bottom. section to ensure you keep the rod upright. The front of the rod is marked in feet, inches and eighths on the face (builder/architect scale) and the back of the rod has a Direct Height Reading scale. also in feet, inches and eighths. This direct elevation scale has a zero at the top and a zero at the bottom in front. It's probably not a "professional" rod that will stand up to everyday use, but for a weekend enthusiast like me it should last a lifetime. 5 Stars. and 2 thumbs up!
