Excellent! I have 9 Defenitive Technology speakers and one for my hub! I'm a fan of Def Tech and their technologically advanced speakers. I have a DENON 9.2 channel, 125 watts @ 8 ohms per channel. AVR-X4400. Definitely at the top of the upper middle class of receivers/amplifiers. About two thousand dollars. 2 years ago. But I use it in combination with an Emotiva XPA-7 amplifier, with all 7 channels delivering 200W RMS into 8 ohms, to provide my main floorstanding speakers, my Definitive Technology, with their great sound. This is definitely not a Marantz Separate. Again, Marantz is not McIntosh. If I had $14,000 for a McIntosh sitting dormant in my head. I would understand. OK. Enough amp lessons! I just want you to know where my strength lies when I ride these Def Tech beauties! I'm not a fan of the Def Tech Pro Series. Let's get rid of that first. Maybe for a small bedroom, maybe. But I'm a fan of Defenitive Technology's SM SERIES! I have two SM-65 bookshelf speakers for the front left and right bi-amp channels. And those darts are stronger than your dad's old 12 inch Cerwin Vegas, I know! And for the rear channels, I have two SM-55s, which also (probably) hum louder! Definitely clearer and richer! And for the center, I do have a PRO-2000 center speaker. Because it has the mids and highs you would expect from a designated voice box! Especially with 4 loudspeakers already a deep, rich sound, it works very, very well! And for subs! I have two too! A 12" 500 watt SVS 2000, sealed, takes you to POUND TOWN, subwoofer! Heard after the first lightning strike. Punch! AKA where the 12" SVS introduces the Pound Town! symphony, these two are perfect for each other. As well as the huge SM-65 with its smaller Sm-55 brothers! How is Pro Center 2000?all uses! It's the only thing to consider when buying. It's perfectly proportioned for me and it's a BIG big brother, as for bookshelf speakers.Otherwise check out the ProCenter 1000.Not nearly a resonant cabinet but still fits your size great!I have lots of speakers everywhere so there's nothing bigger and louder π ProCenter 2000. In a world of one another matched speakers, this speaker is a perfect match! Hear the words of movie actors, not action people! Not only does the rest just sound "Orgasmatic" but can you hear the announcements now?! When you hear the words and can't hear the nuances behind it clearly, then what's the MEANING?!? Order it today! Take one less worry on the way to the right step of your ld purchase. If you have any questions or comments. If you feel like I'm full of donkey crap! Please! Be sure to email me or ask a question! I am happy to explain to you why and how my deep physical experience helps me and you know what and why! Thank you for listening to my chatter! And I'm only saying that because sound is a preference! SOME people like Bright High's. While others like low rumble's. And everything in between. I've heard a lot of combinations. And that is my personal recommendation for the center channel. Please note that this is a personal preference. And I sincerely believe that it is, or could be, a center channel for any 80W or larger surround sound system! This was a personal preference rating from none other than!, Mark Reeves and Tech Truth!
