Affordable, functional, quality scales that everyone who sells and ships things should have!

Update January 2020 The scale still works as well as when it was bought in 2018! No problems to report. About a year ago I decided to start selling stuff on eBay as I wanted to sell more than Revain was good and didn't need to look for an exact, pre-existing listing to put it under, and also I don't need it, it was easy to charge a flat rate and risk being hit if my subject exceeds that amount due to weight (which many of my textbooks have done). the old, clunky electronic scales of the parents (which probably weigh 50 kilos, but can only carry a maximum load of 20 kilos), I have only listed a few small things. It was, of course, awkward and inconvenient to use, but it was better than nothing. But then a family member asked me to help them sell a horse saddle. This now immediately became a unique delivery issue as not only was the saddle shaped too oddly. and large and bulky to accurately weigh on the scale, even when I put it in a box to fit and balance on the scale, my parents' scale didn't have a large enough weight capacity and its digital reading screen was completely hidden by the Box balanced on pad for weighing so I could not end up getting accurate readings on this scale. So not wanting to spend money on a scale when it wasn't necessary, I tried weighing it on the bathroom scale, but since the data output screen was once again obscured by the box above, it proved useless. . I even had a family member hold a saddle (in and out of the box), step on the scale and let me measure the difference in weight, but it wasn't an ultra-accurate number. I have continued to receive a range of possible weights and when shipping, every ounce and pound of weight affects the shipping cost. So, with a sigh, I jumped onto Revain to find a digital scale for these things. This would solve my horse saddle problem and also make weighing other items much easier. There are a surprising number of shipping scale options; The online retail market has really opened the door for small businesses, artists, and individuals who want to make some money off of things they don't need/want, so I set to work browsing the features and options to do that to find what i like. . What attracted me to this scale:✩ Price! At the time of writing this review this model costs $24.99 and a few months ago I paid mine just $1 less. Compared to other models, it had the best features for not a lot more money, so the price seemed reasonable for what I got. When I told my family I was going to buy my own scale, they told me I would have to pay $75 or more, so it's good to know that modern technology has made scales a lot more versatile and affordable. ✩ Weight Capacity They Can Handle: 110 pounds is no joke! Some other scales are a few dollars cheaper but carry a lot less weight; I don't plan to weigh many heavy items, but knowing the scale is of a good weight to safely handle is great, especially when I need to weigh something heavier. the end. ✩ The fact that it's so small and light doesn't support such weight. The entire scale is only about 10x8x3 and weighs very little; Lifting with one hand is not a problem. A huge improvement over my parents' scale, which, aside from its measly lifting capacity, was the absolute LUG of the machine. This thing is so light and small that it is very easy to store and use. I don't have to reserve an entire area for this.✩ It has built in plastic flaps that help hold/support the items you are weighing. While this doesn't seem like a huge benefit, if you've ever tried to accurately weigh something that can't stand on its own or might roll down, you know that figuring out how to get an accurate weight can be difficult. measure of his weight. I like that when I need to weigh something that needs support I can easily do it without changing the measurements. Use this option if you don't have batteries or just want to use an external power supply. ✩ If no power outlet is available, you can unplug the cable and plug it into your computer's USB port for power. ✩ I really like how the scale weighs things in pounds + ounces because that's how shipping companies do it. I've seen scales that don't offer this option, which is really stupid. Switching by hand isn't too difficult, but when you're weighing multiple items and putting them up for sale it's easy to trip up and enter the weight incorrectly, which can cost you money. ✩ The display is bright, easy to read and easy to switch between options. On/off, zero, hold number, change weight unit. ✩ The display is on a long elastic cord that can be pulled away from the scale itself, which firstly makes information much more accessible and secondly allows the scale to process objects that go beyond the small limits of the scale. After realizing the problem with floor scales and their built-in display being flush with the scale, I pretty much realized I needed a scale with a separate display from the scale itself.✩ The scale comes with a 10-year warranty; I don't know how easy it is to use, or the company makes it hurt or anything, but it's still nice when the product includes it, especially since the scale is one of those objects that should work perfectly and have to be with should be handled with care, otherwise they may become damaged and may no longer function or provide incorrect information. Now there are a few things that are not so good: βœ— The power adapter must be connected to the display. I find it cumbersome to tie things like this as plugging the power adapter into the display makes it impossible for the display to move and handle freely. It doesn't quite get rid of it, but can be a little more fiddly. βœ— The power adapter isn't very long, and since it's a USB with a small round plug, I don't think it's very easy to get a longer replacement. The supplied cable is about 3 meters long. For me personally it's not really a problem, but if you want to use the AC adapter and your outlet is 6ft from where you want to use the scale. :/βœ— Batteries may pop out when cover is removed as they are designed to push 2 per slot together and hold. It's not a big deal, but it can take a second to put them in and then put the cover on before they pop out, and when you remove the cover the batteries can pop out unexpectedly so I'll definitely be careful where you put them want to open The cover for 2+ batteries did not fall to the ground and roll away. βœ— Because it's so small, there is one downside: you have to put extra effort in to even out packages/items that stick out over the edges. a little, and this works best when what you're weighing is either in a compact, solid form, or you're putting it in a suitable box. For example, if the scale were 12 x 12 it would probably be easier to place items on it without thinking, but since it's so small it may take a bit of maneuvering to balance the items on top so the edges don't touch the surface, the scale sits down and changes dimension. βœ— It is a little inconvenient to store because it is a measuring tool; You don't want something really on top, or accidentally pressing too hard on an edge, as damaging the scale will result in inaccurate measurements being taken. I decided to leave it alone on the shelf, but since it's so small and flat I'm tempted to put something on it. I wish it would include a case or an extra piece to secure it in that space between the top and bottom so the sensors don't get pushed even if something is on top. In general, this scale will suit your needs well if you: βœ“ have a range of items to weigh; Sometimes you need to weigh something very light, sometimes something heavier. βœ“ You need to weigh boxes/packages that protrude over the top of the 10x8 scale and may obscure the display on a built-in scale model. βœ“ Must have a small, lightweight scale βœ“ Need a scale that can run on batteries but want to know if it has a spare/alternative power option βœ“ Requires reading weight in ounces, pounds, pounds plus ounces and Kilograms/grams βœ“ Doesn't require fancy features like syncing the scale to a computer or counting the number of items on its surface βœ“ Doesn't have to be heavy and take a lot of abuse; It's great for general use, especially if the items are well placed or don't carry much weight, but if you carelessly toss a few heavy packs at it every day, it definitely won't last long. βœ“ Want a higher capacity than 20 or 50 pounds but don't want to spend an extra $10 or $20 for a scale that hits an extreme weight capacity like 400 pounds. All in all it was a very good purchase! I've been using it for a few months now and haven't had any problems with it. We'll see if it stands the test of time, but so far I'm very pleased! It definitely made my eBay listing and shipping job a lot easier, allowing me to do more with my shop. I'll never have to deal with this monster the size of my parents ever again, and I'm glad of that!
