I consider myself a computer and networking expert. I would actually give this item 3.5 stars if it were available. While the device generally works, one feature clearly doesn't (WPA security for the wireless connection). I also felt that the setup of this device could be greatly improved. Here is my experience: 1. The installation wizard didn't work properly. Even though it found the device on the network, it kept saying it couldn't communicate with the device when I clicked next. I've tried restarting the computer, the switch, and the device, all to no avail.2. Then I opened the manual that is on the CD and followed the instructions.3. I first tried setting it up to use WPA security, which I use for my WiFi as it's considered more secure than WEP. I could not get the device to work with WPA security. In fact, I found it disabled my entire wireless LAN (using Netgear G WiFi) and this raises concerns that this thing could actually be used for denial of service attacks on some wireless LAN devices - or worse, it can inadvertently create DoS on nearby WLANs that have default default configurations that match the owner's configuration.4. I've searched the web and found several articles from users who were unable to get WPA security to work with this device (including one here on amazon.com). Someone sent back an email they received from Motorola stating that WPA security is not supported. After giving up WPA, I decided to configure it for WEP protection. This required me to reconfigure my entire wireless network to use WEP security. It's been quite a long time since I have multiple wireless devices.6. Since the setup wizard didn't work, I had to manually set up the printers on each Windows device. It doesn't matter if you're familiar with installing and setting up printers on your PC. In total it took me an hour to set everything up so that everything works properly. This is longer than it should have taken when running WPA and the setup wizard. Once set up, the device works and I've been able to print some documents wirelessly, and overall I'm happy with it.
